The person behind PotsTrack

PotsTrack is built and maintained by one person from Manchester, England. This page exists so you can see who that is before you trust anything on the site.

Who I am

I'm Kane Rigby — a UK-based developer living with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). I built PotsTrack because the apps I tried during my own diagnosis either tried to be everything for everyone or treated dysautonomia as a footnote. I wanted a small, opinionated, encrypted-on-device symptom diary that respected the energy budget of someone in a flare. So I made one.

I'm not a clinician. Nothing on this site is medical advice. What I can offer is a patient-perspective product, careful citations on the medical-content pages, and a strict policy of not collecting any data about you the publisher doesn't need.

Editorial stance

  • Patient perspective, cited sources. Anything that touches a medical claim links a peer-reviewed source or a recognised patient charity. If I can't cite it, I don't claim it.
  • Every health page is dated. Pages carry a visible "Reviewed YYYY-MM-DD" line that corresponds to the last time I read the page end-to-end against current guidance.
  • No third-party trackers. The site uses Vercel's cookieless analytics for page-view counts and nothing else. No advertising network, no remarketing pixel, no "heatmap" tools.
  • App and site are independent of any commercial sponsor. No condition-specific charity, drug company or device maker pays for placement here.

How to corroborate any of this

If you're evaluating PotsTrack as a journalist, clinician, researcher, or just a careful patient — the source is on GitHub, the privacy policy commits to what the app does and doesn't do, and the email above reaches a real person.
